Mock interviews held at HSFC

27th January 2017

Year 13 mock interviewsTo support our students with their personal development, today we organised for a number of local businesses to visit the Hucknall Sixth Form Centre to hold a series of mock interviews. The interviews took place with students from year 13, and the experience should prove invaluable whether they are looking to move into higher education, employment or apprenticeships, as all of these pathways may require individuals to go through a formal process.

The students gained valuable insight into how to perform in an interview situation, and our professional team of interviewers provided detailed feedback on individual performances together with tips and techniques to help them improve in the future.

Mrs Wall, Head of Hucknall Sixth Form Centre, said of the interviews, "It is vitally important that students are prepared for the possibility of an interview as they look at the next stage of their life following their studies with us. The students all performed professionally and with great maturity, but all will have learned something new today that they can work on in the future.

Many thanks to the businesses for sparing us some of their time, experience and knowledge. It is one thing for students to hear hints and tips from HSFC staff, but hearing from people who conduct interviews on a daily and weekly basis really emphasises those key messages."
