Transition bridging unit challenge

Develop your marketability this summer! Universities and employers expect to see:

  • Activities that demonstrate your interest in the course or job you are applying for
  • Positions of responsibility held in and out of school, like captain of the football team or representative for a local charity
  • Jobs, placements, work experience or voluntary work, particularly if relevant to your chosen course

You need 300 points gained across all four of your subject choices to graduate. 500 points secure you a UCAS/reference recommendation.

20 points:

  • Review a suggested podcast, website or blog

40 points:

  • Review a suggested subject film

60 points:

  • Complete subject task
  • Review a visit to a suggested museum, gallery or event (this can be done virtually)
  • Review a suggested article or journal
  • Attend and review a musical or opera (this can be done virtually)
  • Get yourself paid part-time employment

80 points:

  • Review a suggested book

100 points:

  • Carry out 20 hours or more of volunteering or unpaid work experience

140 points:

  • Complete a skills-based residential programme (this can be done virtually)
