Today over thirty year 12 and 13 students attended a Young Professionals Conference held at Pride Park in Derby. The focus was on apprenticeships, particularly covering degree apprenticeships offered by some of the UK’s biggest companies.

Keynote speakers from Rolls Royce, PwC and Capgemini provided a detailed insight into the exciting opportunities available to students who are keen to take on a degree apprenticeship. The companies outlined how the apprenticeship would work, with them employing the student whilst they are training together with covering the course costs.

There are great opportunities for students interested in a wide range of careers including; engineering, aerospace, manufacturing, business, customer service, retail, digital marketing, cyber security, technology, business, law, accountancy, and a range of professional services.

The event showcased another pathway to students from Hucknall Sixth Form Centre, who may not wish to go to University beyond post-16 study.
