To ensure that our students get the very best out of their time at Hucknall Sixth Form Centre, we have very high expectations of attendance, behaviour and commitment to learning. In order for you to reach your full potential, your learning will need to take place both inside and outside of the classroom.

Our key elements required for success are to:

Believe

Throughout your time at HSFC you will be supported by highly experienced teachers and tutors who will support both your academic and personal potential. We will help to encourage and develop your independence, confidence and perseverance skills – helping you to become a more effective and successful student.

Belong

Community is at the heart of all we do at HSFC. As a student, you should be respectful of your peers and engage with staff members in such a way that you will be positively working towards success. We will provide may additional opportunities for you to belong to clubs and groups to support learning, enhance your experiences and to have a hand in shaping your own sixth form community.

Become

We aim to equip our students with the skills they need to achieve a successful career pathway and the resilience to lead a happy life.  We will support our students into the next phase of their lives, be that university, an apprenticeship or entering employment.

We expect all our students and staff to develop and display these throughout their time at Hucknall, and beyond. Our belief is that a focus on these elements will enable individuals to grow and reach out towards their future success.

We also provide support for Hucknall Sixth Form Centre students who wish to focus on their own faith and spirituality. National Church of England Academy has a strong Christian ethos and provides chaplaincy for students of all faiths (and none) throughout the year.
