‘Life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10)
The development of HSFC was inspired by the vision for ‘life in all its fullness’ to ensure the offer of a broad and rich curriculum at key stage 5.
SIAMS 2022
Our vision, that all members of our community experience ‘life in all its fullness’ and live life through our core ‘ARCH’ values, continues seamlessly into sixth form at HSFC. Senior leaders from National Church of England Academy form part of the HSFC management board to ensure the experience of our National sixth form students continues to be rooted in our Christian vision.
Our role as an academy (year 7 to 13) is to create a place of learning where:
- you are engaged on a joyful lifetime of learning
- you are uniquely valued
- your gifts, the potential you have and your spirituality are nurtured and developed
- the academy community is welcoming for those of all faiths and none
National Church of England Academy sixth form students
All 6th form students on our roll have a personal tutor from National Church of England Academy to support the transition into year 12. This also ensures our students retain close links with main school and remain an integral and valued part of the school community. Alongside enrichment at HSFC, students can take advantage of student leadership opportunities at main school.
Collective worship and religious education
Collective worship and religious education form an integral part of the tutor and enrichment programme. Our aim is that collective worship is inclusive, invitational and inspiring. To support this, it is led by students, staff, chaplains and visitors throughout the year.
Spiritual, moral, social and cultural development
Spiritual, moral, social and cultural development (SMSC) is embedded throughout the curriculum and wider aspects of sixth form life.
Chaplaincy
Our school chaplain is available to support all students studying at HSFC.
