Last Tuesday a group of our enterprising students attended the Sherwood Area Young Enterprise Showcase Event at the One Call Stadium in Mansfield.
The event was the culmination of their Young Enterprise efforts and provided the opportunity for the students to set up a trade stall, make a presentation and take part in interviews outlining their project, their achievements and the business and enterprise skills they have used since forming the ‘Bits and Bobs’ company in October 2018.
The judges were impressed by their performance on the night and wrote to their mentor Mrs Jones saying that we ‘should be very proud of this group of young people who have clearly excelled over the last six months. Their enthusiasm shone out. We were extremely impressed with everything that they had done and their interview and presentation in particular. What an excellent group!’
Previously the team had been in action at East Midland Designer Outlet for a training event and at the Four Seasons Shopping Centre selling a variety of products they had made. Congratulations to all involved, here showing off their trophy awarded for excellent teamwork.
