On 3rd May 2023 students in the Enactus NextGen Leaders Programme at HSFC were successful in winning three awards.
Fair Necessities have created an implemented a project on period and hygiene poverty, creating packs for distribution in the community. The group were successful in winning the Fighting Poverty award.
Via Bio have partnered with many businesses local to Hucknall in order to provide solutions to composting, and tackle growing emissions. The group were successful in winning the Sustainability and Change Makers awards.
What is NextGen Leaders?
Enactus UK supports students & young people across the country to engage in social action and social enterprise. The seek to develop a national network of socially-minded young leaders of the future, who transform communities and society through real-life social action and environmentally responsible enterprise.
With the support of coaches, mentors and academics, teams of students across the UK work together to find innovative solutions to social issues within their local and international communities using the framework of the sustainable development goals.
The teams work together with community based organisations and social enterprises, as well as getting expert advice from industry specialist business coaches and sponsors to develop their projects into social enterprises.
