Today we have held our own mock election here at Hucknall Sixth Form Centre, to educate our students all about the process of the voting system.
Yesterday representatives from all parties took part in Hustings to encourage our students to vote for them. The polling booths then opened today, exactly the same way that they operate in real life.
This event has enabled our students, most of whom will be too young to vote in today’s General Election, to have the opportunity to experience being involved in this process. The votes will be counted up this afternoon and our winners declared at 3.15pm today.
